Review on πŸ”Š 1800w Mono Class D Amplifier by Audiopipe by Troy Jennings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does what it's supposed to and sounds good.

Bought for my new hobby car. Be it a mini truck pushing a mid-2000s Fosgate 12. That's a little more power than I need, 750 RMS each subwoofer. With subwoofers plugged into 1 ohm, the amp can output over 300 watts more than it needs. However, it sounds very good for a Class D amplifier. The extra unnecessary power allows me to push the subwoofer's power limit with less distortion. Overall I am very happy with this amp for the price I paid. In the car audio space since the late '80s, while not among the 'top' brands, it's still well built and delivers the performance it promises. Much better than some other manufacturers who make their products 2-4 times more expensive than they actually do. The boss and others like him bet about 2 times more than it actually is. Hifonics now seems to estimate its output at twice what it actually produces. The Audio Pipe 1800W amplifier is rated for 1800W into 1 ohm, which is 1800+. This is closer to 2000 watts into 1 ohm. It's actually a great amp.
