The battery never charges above 85% and sometimes drains very quickly and sometimes it seems to last a little longer, but the GoPro8 lasts longer than this remote. They say it doesn't need "line of sight" but I'm not sure I'll buy it. It works great with a wing mounted GoPro on my light general purpose aircraft. Today I installed it under the front bumper of my Tundra pickup to capture some special biker shots. The remote control couldn't communicate with the GoPro because of the steering wheel. I held the remote control to my rear view mirror to improve reception. Nothing worked. When I got out of the car it was working fine. I need the remote for a couple of shots I'm taking so I'll keep it, but I'm not very happy with it. it worked perfectly.
