I loved everything about this cooler and the ability to travel without having to freeze ice every night. The main problem lies in the actual usage. You must disconnect the adapter from the power source every time you start the vehicle, otherwise you will damage the electronics in the cool box. This means you have to unplug every time you get off to view road signs or scenery, stop at a rest area, refuel, or make any number of stops you need to make along the way. I never thought we'd made so many stops until I checked it out on a recent trip. I know I will definitely forget to turn it off one of those times and then our meal will be ruined for the rest of the trip. I can't believe that a product like this designed to connect to a car doesn't have onboard electronics that allow it to be connected while the car is starting. I go back to the fridge with ice in it. At least I can install it and forget about it.
