Although described as "shabby chic" in the seller description, I would describe it as festively elegant. A neon white background and white glitter threads outlining the pattern of leaves make it formal and elegant. The macramé finish definitely adds a touch of elegance. The leaf design makes it festive. And the material looks durable. I was under the impression (from another review or from the seller's description) that the material was transparent or thin, but it wasn't. I washed it in warm water on a gentle cycle and tumble dried low and it looked great. Ironing is not required. I use it in my formal dining room with formal white china. This tablecloth is a real bargain - great price, good quality.
