Bought for my mother who likes to drink coffee because a cup should keep warm that well. When I received it, I filled it with boiling water and covered it. The water was still hot after 30 minutes and a little warm after an hour. It wasn't promised. Also, I wasn't happy with how the lid worked. (By the way, I think the lid is where heat is lost.) It slips and is so easy to open that I was afraid it would get away with it and burn itself.
