Review on πŸŽ‰ Winsome Wood Betsy Storage/Organization in Antique Walnut: Stylish and functional solution by Joe Drew

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Potential, but not enough quality

I really wanted to like this ceiling holder. It replaces the old brass I was planning to give away. This time I decided on warm wood. Beautiful walnut color. This attitude would be perfect if there weren't certain shortcomings. First, there were several imperfections on the tree itself. I'm not talking about minor blemishes either. It never had to go through quality control. Second, it was a bit difficult to get together. Pre-drilled pilot holes should be larger and deeper. My wrists still hurt from using an allen wrench and driving screws into wood. When I finally got it all together, it wobbled and was unbalanced. I have now assembled a lot of furniture and helped my husband with many domestic renovation projects, so I'm not without qualifications. In retrospect, however, I should probably have taken the drill instead of following your instructions. I got lazy, but I didn't have to. The last thing I wanted to point out-and this is not included in my 2-star rating-is that the stand is larger than I expected. We should have paid more attention to the dimensions. On the other hand, those who want to hang heavier duvets and duvets will find this robust (but shaky) frame. I moved it because it is too big for the place where I wanted to place it. Here, too, it was my fault that I no longer paid attention to this and that it is irrelevant for my assessment. Just a footnote for you. In general, in view of the price, I decided that it is not worth disassembling and returning it. Since it is now in a guest room and not in my living room where I wanted to make it, I don't worry about his shortcomings.
