All my life I've had more hair than anyone I've ever known. Thick, coarse, dark hair. I've tried EVERYTHING from shaving, waxing, naira to laser. While the laser has been reasonably effective, it is very expensive and has many limitations. For example, you cannot stay in the sun for several weeks or epilate between sessions. Even then, most of my hair came back after I did it due to a hormonal imbalance. I have PCOS and hirsutism which means excessive hair growth. I recently stumbled across this epilator and thought there was no harm in it. In fact, epilation is the plucking of several hairs at once. According to my research, it should reduce hair growth and reduce hair thickness. I tested this product on multiple spots: my full legs, stomach, arms, back and chin/side of face. I expected it to be very painful, but it was actually quite bearable. Compared to laser hair removal, I would say it's a little less painful. My shins hurt the least because that's where the laser was most effective and therefore I have the least hair. It was a bit more painful on the rest of the body, but after a while I got used to it. It's been about two weeks since I epilated these areas and the hair still hasn't grown back. My skin feels soft and I'd say it's been a huge hit. The epilator comes with a charger, a brush, two attachments, a storage bag and instructions. One head reduces the epilation diameter for a small area, while the other concentrates the epilation on one area. The epilator is really easy to use: first you have to charge it and then press the power button to turn it on. There are two speed modes as well as extra light. The light was very helpful when I was doing the chin because it helped me see the hair. In addition, the epilator charges quickly and has a long battery life. Philips is a well-known and trusted brand. The epilator can also be used on dry or damp skin. The best time to epilate is after a hot shower or bath as the pores are open. It is also good to do this a week after the start of the period, as that is when we are least sensitive. Epilation is also inexpensive as it is a one-time fee and you can then have hair removal free for the rest of your life. So far I am very satisfied with the product! I'll let you know in a few weeks/months as my hair starts to get thinner and smaller.
