I'm just starting to use a razor but I absolutely can't believe the difference. First off, it's crazy that the big companies that sell disposable razors can sell them at the price they can afford, since a straight razor gives you a much better (albeit dangerous) shave for an insanely low price. However. Anyway, I've seen a few YouTube videos of trendy barbers demonstrating amazing razor shaves, so as a Renaissance man I decided to try and teach myself. I've searched and searched Revain to find the best for those just starting out at an affordable price. I found this model and after carefully reading the reviews I decided to try it. I got it in the mail and after watching 2-3 or even 4 hours of video I was ready to try it. I took a very hot shower and used loads of foam and success. I cut myself a lot and had quite a few cuts but other than that shaving was legal! I made a few more attempts over the next few weeks and greatly improved my technique. But then. Ah, but then. A friend of mine gave me the hairstylist tip on how to put a tiny drop of tea tree oil on your razor to prevent razor burn and moisturize your skin and wow - that was a golden trick. Disclaimer - make sure your technique is a little better than mine when I started, cuts and tea tree oil doesn't feel any better on your face at 7am. I tried using TreeActiv + tea tree oil solution. and it worked very well. I just applied a drop or two to my razor with a towel and found the next day that I had no razor scars. Like zero. The next day I used it as an aftershave and it really worked for me. The smell isn't very strong, so if you like aftershave I recommend using cologne. Update: My girlfriend gave me this TreeActiv Anti Acne & Rosacea Treatment Plus Rhassoul Sulfur Mask, Bentonite Clay Mask with Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera. - Refreshing lemon scent (1 jar) to use as a face scrub a few days a week, makes shaving easier and cleanses the skin. I have a baby face now. I recommend all of these products.
