Review on HILFA Stainless Kitchen Counter 17 5X11 5X7 5 by Julie Parker

Bought this as a birthday present for a friend and fellow baker. I wasn't expecting a top product, but I was expecting at least an average product. What I received was very disappointing. First, it comes in nothing more than a brown shipping box. NO PRODUCT PACKAGING. It's a little strange giving someone a present in a dirty brown box, or worse, an already opened one. When I opened the box I noticed a few scratches on the black enamel as well as a few sticky spots. I took it to the sink to wash it and started scrubbing one of the stains. I was horrified to discover that the paper towel I used leaves irreversible scratches on the paintwork! There were fingerprints everywhere I touched the surface. It looks like it will work like a breadbasket, but the condition it arrived in was unforgivable; it is marked and lightly marked. My own bread box is much better and cheaper. It is definitely not suitable as a gift.
