. I am beyond disappointed in these great looking, well fitting and very comfortable shoes! Already after 5 weeks the toe of the left shoe started to separate from the sole, first on one side, then on both. Then, in the same boot, loose and loose stitching began to appear around the eyelets and in other places, mainly only on the left boot. Then, almost two weeks ago, the same process of separation began on the right shoe, first on one side and soon after on the other. ! This right boot came off much quicker than the right boot, and it was only last night that I heard a muffled "pop" sound, only to realize that the entire forefoot of the sole of the right boot had moved almost two inches back towards the toe of the boot . Shoes! And then there's the entirely separate SMELL PROBLEM! God, Louise, but these shoes smell bad! Whatever synthetic materials are used for the lining and insole, they create an unpleasant odor that makes me want to keep these shoes out of my closet, my bedroom! BAD stench, I'm addicted! My only satisfaction is knowing that I bought them with gift cards and actually only spent $8 out of my pocket on these extremely disappointing shoes! I wouldn't want to rely on them for heavy hikes and such, I only use them as a daily shoe and even with that expectation they fell short. So discouraging!
