was damaged I love Logitech. They stand behind their products. I wouldn't buy anything else, Logitech has made me a regular customer. I bought this keyboard because of the backlight. I'm on my second keyboard (warranty) because the keys are very fragile. This is a scissor switch keyboard. Scissor switches were common in older laptops. Most of them hold up pretty well, but this setup doesn't work. The keys start to crack and sometimes don't press normally, as if something is stuck underneath. I tried cleaning it with compressed air but there were no foreign objects. Three keys didn't work for me (left shift, #6 on the numeric keypad, and spacebar). It came back under warranty so I decided to see if I could fix the keys before calling. I work in IT. On older laptops, you could remove a key, clean an item, or fix a pair of scissors. I couldn't do that with this keyboard. After removing the key, it was not possible to assemble the scissors. What I found was that there were no foreign objects as I suspected. Switches are just bad. If it weren't for the bad switches, this would be a rockstar keyboard. It's thin, quiet, and the backlight is very useful in my situation. You can still take the risk as Logitech supports it if you run into any issues. Sorry Logitech I never gave you a star. I want you to be successful. Something is wrong with these switches.
