I keep getting bits stuck in my gums because I think I have gaps in my teeth. Even more than flossing, I've made water flossing a regular part of my routine as food particles stuck in my gums for a long period of time cause gum pain. When I travel, I don't take my "big" dental floss with me. with me, so I've encountered instances where I've had to use disposable sword floss to clean my teeth and gums (which doesn't work very well). Choose the portable option. After looking at some reviews I decided to go with the inexpensive (low risk) option, which also looked good. I'm not disappointed. Points: 1) It's not as powerful or efficient as my full-size Waterpik, but it still gets the job done as it saves me from bleeding gums when using disposable tools when traveling. In terms of functionality, it's a home run. While it doesn't seem as strong as my homemade Waterpik and it takes a little more patience to refill the tank, it still does the job well. 2) I don't need any more advice. It comes with several, and I've only used one so far (although I may need more advice in the future). 3) It's pretty quiet (like a purr). Definitely quieter than the native station 4) Collapses! The handpiece is removed at the push of a button (the pickup tube is held and retracted into the body).
