Review on PowerBear 8K HDMI Cable 3 ft: High-Speed Connectivity and Reliability! by Michael Colley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best cable at a reasonable price for the highest demands - highly recommended.

I just bought an LG SM9000PUA TV connected to a Sony HT-Z9F soundbar and wanted to take advantage of the incredible (for me) sound and picture quality of Dolby Vision and Atmos. My source devices connected to the TV are Apple TV 4K (connected via HDMI cable) and Fire TV Stick 4K (connected directly to TV, no HDMI cable). This PowerBear 8K HDMI cable connects the soundbar to the TV via the ARC-HDMI connector. Although this PowerBear 8K cable exceeds my TV's requirements (4K 60Hz), I wanted to make sure there was enough bandwidth to deliver Dolby Vision and Atmos content at high speeds. simultaneously. The difference between these 8K PowerBear cables and my old HDMI cables with unknown specifications is noticeable. With older HDMI cables, I would lose connection when playing 4K HDR content, the picture looked flat and the audio was low. 4K content requires a lot of bandwidth, especially when using one of the Dolby and/or HDR 10 or HDR 10+ standards. I'm sure a 4K 60Hz cable would suffice for my TV and soundbar, but I wasn't sure if using Dolby Vision and Atmos simultaneously would be enough, and I also wanted to do some testing in the future perform ( eARC and HDMI 2.1). These 8K PowerBears met my needs at a decent price, and the cables support all the latest and greatest features like 8K@60Hz UHD video, 4K@120Hz, 48Gbps, eARC, HDMI 2.1, etc. Each cable set also comes with a pair of handy rectangular HDMI adapters , and I actually used one for my Fire TV Stick. It should be noted that these cables are high quality, thick, braided and heavy duty. Braid helps me because pets chew on wires. The only downside is that the cable ends are bulky and my soundbar has closely spaced HDMI ports so I can't connect these cables side-by-side to my soundbar. With a TV, this isn't usually a problem as the HDMI ports are further apart. This is not a paid review. I just want to help anyone who is wondering why their TV or soundbar isn't looking or sounding as good, or just having playback issues. Please purchase cables that meet or exceed the specifications of the original device, TV and sound system. Do not use the supplied HDMI cables that come with your TV or soundbar. All in all, for the best sound/video quality, these PowerBear 8K HDMI cables are highly recommended.
