I previously rated Diamond cat food 5 stars because it was grain free at the time. Changed a few years ago for cost reasons. So glad I did. Another reviewer informed me that Diamond now uses corn as the main ingredient. Cats are carnivores, they eat meat, not vegetables. One of my cats had diarrhea so bad that we tried to narrow down the cause, only to find that the canned food was formulated with grains. Pet food companies use it to save money and promote it as "healthy." Look for pet food that is grain free and contains high quality meat. As your cat gets older, you may need to switch to a low-protein diet, as the high protein content can cause kidney problems. I think you should check your food regularly for changes. Hope I helped.
