When using my Ronin S in its lightweight configuration, I try to keep it to a minimum for maximum maneuverability and minimum weight. But that bottom handle is one accessory I can't do without. I prefer to do a lot of my tracking shots under the seat, as I'd rather lift it up a bit than keep it upright and crouch down a lot. And I've had my share of mistakes where I felt like I was having a heart attack when I felt my grip on the gimbal slip. But not anymore. With this accessory, keeping it on your head becomes much easier and safer. The grip feels firmer and I don't use my finger muscles as much to prevent slipping as I would just using the bar itself. I've also used this pen for other things like lighting and for my phone and sometimes for a wireless monitor so it's definitely worth the investment. Add to that a hot shoe mount for a mic or extra lighting, and plenty of 1/4" and 3/4" holes for other accessories (I use one for the original Ronin S tripod legs so I can write it down). My girlfriend modeled for ease of use and easy installation. I made them do it too as I can't take a picture of myself with one hand :( Overall the construction is all metal, there is a rubber screw between the grip and the gimbal so it won't damage your Ronin/Moza/Crane 2nd on definitely RECOMMEND!
