Review on 🎧 iHome Wireless Water-Resistant Sport Earphones with Bluetooth, Mic Remote, and Sport Clips (Gray/Green - iB79GQC) by Leticia Wilhelmsen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Adequate and inexpensive headphones that will disappoint any audiophile

Well, the headphones are not bad, but they are not very good either. There are two things that prevent them from being top notch. Well, three. The third problem is that I almost didn't mention the APP, which just doesn't work. And given the user rating of just over one star, it seems like almost everyone is having the same issues as me. In my case, it couldn't detect anything to install the app. I've tried it on my Samsung phone, Kindle Fire and laptop. I can usually install the app on one or all three, but I almost always can't install the app on any of them. But the two main reasons are, firstly, the sound isn't very good, and secondly, there aren't any long-range receivers. As for the first complaint that they don't sound great, all I can say is that I've been able to review almost a dozen wireless headphones alongside at least a dozen wired headphones or headphones, and I'll just say: I've heard a lot of products on the market. They have an adequate but not impressive sound. On the other hand, they're cheaper than many other headphones on the market, so you'll have to decide how important sound quality is to you. That is extremely important to me. My daughter, as I've noticed, doesn't really care about the sound quality. I'm not one of those baby boomers who constantly pick on millennials, but I've noticed that many of her peers have something in common with her, which is a lack of concern for quality sound. I think when the baby boomers were growing up, maybe we didn't have good sound quality until it was developed. We picked up the latest technology like manna from heaven. My daughter already had the technology and she just took it for granted and turned her attention in other directions, to changes in the online software. But for me, if the headphones don't sound quite top-notch, they're of little use. The range issue isn't that important since I don't stray that far from my base unit, the sound source. But while I can sync the headphones to a variety of music sources, the range just isn't great. And again I can compare this to other headphones or headphones. They just don't have the range that other headphones have. The ones with the best range are now the more expensive headphones and I think there is an obvious connection here. More expensive headphones have to use more expensive components in the receiver, so more expensive headphones can consistently deviate further from the base than they do. But here's an example of why this might be a problem. I wanted to trim my mother's hedges and do other gardening. So I put my Kindle Fire in a place where it could get a good signal from my mom's WiFi. but I found that I couldn't move more than 15 to 20 feet from the Kindle before the audio started to cut out. Eventually I gave up and switched to another pair of wireless headphones and with that I was able to walk to the edge of the yard which meant about 40 feet. So, I think there are two things you need to ask yourself in order to get these. How important is good sound? The sound of these iHome headphones is certainly adequate. The reach question is a question that you can only answer for yourself. If you don't expect to ever be out of range of the base, it's not a problem at all. If you want to be able to walk, this could be it. In short, these are very affordable, decent headphones, but they're definitely not among the best I've seen.
