I love my hummy but his habitat got smelly in less than a week after cleaning it. I have used CareFresh bedding but read that aspen/wood shavings absorb odor better. I came across this product while looking for other products. By using aspen bedding and those little white stones the smell dissipated significantly. I was concerned my thighs would be swallowed or bitten by these rocks, but the first time I sniffed them, I immediately ignored them. This product is expensive for the amount you get. I rarely sprinkle it in the female's cage, but I put more in the male's cage as they have a more musky smell.
