First of all, you will receive 4 buckles: 2 metal and 2 synthetic "airport safe" material (metal detector pass). You also get 2 straps. Good deal, IMHO. The buckles have a strong feel and are easy to use and change. Unbuckling is like a seat belt on an airplane, a train. They close tightly and the webbing can pull a truck or hang someone about to fall off a cliff (imo). Seriously, I can think of many situations where the power of a strap could come in handy, like the paracord people wear around their wrists. In addition, the straps are tied with an elastic material that can be used as a belt loop for extra length. Belt length is approximately 50 inches (trimmed). Overall length with attached buckle approximately 52 inches.
