Review on Sunbeam Heated Blanket Settings Cheetah by Anthony Rael

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The cable from the plug to the controller is MUCH short

The plug to the ceiling is very bulky plastic and the cable from the plug to the controller is MUCH shorter - about 2 feet at most. The instructions specifically say to put the connector at the bottom, but then the cable is so short that the controller is below your knees and you basically have to stand up to change the amount of heat. To make the controller accessible you have to flip it the other way and have a bulky connector + cable in front of your face. Also, the instructions are very clear to prevent cables or the controller from being kinked/pinched between pillows or crumpled in a blanket. Using it on a couch, for example, could pose a potential fire hazard, as the controller is on your lap and moving around at night while you sleep almost guarantees the controller will get stuck between sofa cushions and/or get crumpled into a blanket somewhere . It works though - I hang the controller on the foot end of the sofa and although I have to get up to change the settings it heats up just fine like any other electric blanket. so an extra star for that. Had the controller cable been about 7 feet long it would have been 5 stars.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
