Review on SlowTon Adjustable Dog Life Jacket with Belly Support - Ripstop Vest 🐶 for Superior Buoyancy and Pet Safety in Water Activities: Swimming, Boating, Pool, Beach by Rebecca Arrington

As a Labrador Retriever, our dog is an excellent swimmer. I don't really need a life jacket for swimming in the pool but I bought one so she can wear it when kayaking with us for extra protection and to make it easier to get out of the water if needed. But for this review I tried it out in the pool so I can talk about its buoyancy and comfort. First, as you can see from the photo of her lying in it, she didn't mind wearing it and it seemed comfortable enough. You can also see her jumping into the pool, which doesn't limit her movements. It's a good material that dries quickly and the colors stand out well. In terms of fit, it was a reasonably snug fit overall for my 53-pound lab, but was also a bit loose after tightening the straps, and I especially wish it could have tightened the front a bit more. Mine is as snug as can be, and it still allowed the jacket to slide off her shoulders a little more than I would have liked (see photo for where she sits). But she has a very lean build so I assume this won't be a problem for other stockier dogs. I'm not sure how the smaller size will fit my dog. In the water, the jacket seemed to make swimming easier for our dog and made swimming less stressful, which is what you want from a life jacket. I think this will do a good job of keeping a dog that is not suitable for swimming. The handle at the top of the jacket seems to work well for lifting the dog out of the water if needed. The jacket is very easy to put on if you adjust the straps. Adjusting the straps requires some strength but is not difficult. My dog also wore a jacket for the first time while kayaking. She didn't go into the water at the time, but she carried her comfortably in a kayak. Overall I am very happy with the quality, color and comfort of this life jacket.
