Review on Blanket Electric Heating Settings Washable by Non Dollarz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super soft, incredibly warm

I get cold easily, but electric blankets wear out. I usually tuck them in between a sheet and some other comforters so the heat stays insulated and I lightly toast all night. As my previous blanket had just been rejected for me, this one showed up in my queue at the perfect time. It turns itself off automatically after 2 hours, which isn't usually my first choice, but still worth a try - I've perfected hitting the "half awake" button to turn it back on. The duvet is thinner and much softer than the version it replaces. I plugged it into an extension cord and covered it with a light quilt and single layer fleece blanket. (Did I mention I get cold?) The heat has six levels, so of course I quickly turned it down to 6, shivered, and waited for the best it had to offer. It heats up FAST. I had to preheat my old one before I was comfortable and this thing put out heat in minutes. I think I fell in love. Level 6 is a good, even boil - very warm, to the point I had to turn it off. (That, um, doesn't happen.) It's nice to note that you can actually overheat this one. I know this because after 10 minutes of snuggling under him, he suddenly stopped heating and the controller started flashing. The instructions say this means I've overheated it, which can be a strong minus in terms of my usual way of using it. A sofa with this and a light blanket is great. Is it under the pounds of other duvets? Probably not. Where the cord attaches to the duvet, a part needs to be pushed up to lock it in place, making it less likely to come loose during use. It's a bit fiddly to untie, but I'll get used to it.
