Good beginner smartwatch for kids

The watch is perfect for a kid. It's not too pretty, it's not too distracting. For what it is, it's pretty good. I bought this for my son as a pedometer and it's pretty accurate. I love that you can track their sleep as my son wakes up at night and wanders around the house at night. You don't need an app to see the daily readings, but if you want to look at the historical trend, you need to download the app. The watch connects to your phone via Bluetooth, so make sure you turn off some features like text messaging. Your child can see your messages if you keep this feature enabled. Having their own phone can be an advantage as they can see the message on their watch instead of reaching for their phone. The battery can last 4 days of 24 hour usage before I feel the need to charge it. USB charging is unique, so don't waste it. You can change the dials, but since they're made outside the US, the date is read as DD/MM, not MM/DD like we're used to here. But in his defense, that's how the rest of the world works, and we're weird in everyone else's eyes. I only mention this because it might confuse some kids. My only concern is the band as I can't find replacement bands. I don't know if that was done on purpose. This is my second bracelet as my son's first bracelet broke after 10 months of use. The silicone didn't break, it was a metal clip. I was able to find a replacement for it online but for the price I just ordered another one and put the new watch part aside as a backup. So if you want to see what your kid is doing with a smartwatch, this is a good watch for beginners.
