Until Apple puts an HDMI port there
I have one of those fancy new Apple Mac Book Air laptops with the new M1 chip. so fast In any case, the usual HDMI connection is missing. Grr :( This cable does the trick without a dongle. You connect the USB-C bit to your laptop (thank goodness it has at least two of them) and the HDMI to your monitor. It works. Your monitor will now show an image of to your laptop screen "This will happen. This will happen. This is good."
