A standalone light source, this fixture shines when it comes to performance. The brightness is good and the color (temperature and RGB) meets my expectations. In my app I use it as a hair light and background color in an AC powered podcast studio. I emailed the support company to get the pin size for the DV input (it's a 2.5mm pin socket, not 2.1mm). After contacting customer service about the power requirements, they were very quick to respond and you can use either a 9vdc or 12vdc adapter. To use this with HomeKit, you have to turn them on one at a time (they don't turn on with the Power app) and then switch to color mode, but they remember the saved color. If you use this on a battery powered camera or set it up every time this is a good buy. The stands are good, they came with a travel case, two batteries and two chargers. Excellent quality.
