Zipped semi-hard case - thanks to the zip it can shrink a bit with enough pressure, but not by much. All my sunglasses are in perfect condition, the hook that attaches the case broke very quickly. I got hooked on crocheting because I didn't like the idea of my sunglasses falling to the bottom of my bag and getting crushed. Sad day. :(The case smelled a bit but I expected it and just put it on the windowsill for the evening. It smelled nice afterwards.
