Review on πŸ” Msoomm 40W CO2 Laser Tube - 700mm Length, 50mm Diameter, Metal Head, 3000hr Service Life - Ideal for CO2 Laser Cutting and Engraving Machines by Michelle Langley

So far this 50 watt lamp is fine.

So far so good. Today I replaced the tired 50 watt bulb in my laser with this version. First off, they don't typically put out 50 watts unless you push them, so to me they're more like a 45-watt all-purpose lightbulb. Now I'm facing an installation problem that was my mistake. The original tube is 800mm long but 50mm in diameter, while this tube is 800mm long but 55mm in diameter. I ordered laser mounts for a larger tube but they were too wide to fit. The original brackets are clearly too small. I had to make new beech angles on another laser. Hard to find 55mm mounts that are not too tall or too wide. In the end I only found one supplier in China but he won't be here for a month. But the beech works well and I will replace it in the future. So remember that a 50mm pipe fitting a 55mm pipe is not a quick change. These 50w to 60w lasers have a narrow deck and the cloud beam mounts are too wide and too high. In any case, after installing and fully configuring, I can say that the result is very good at the moment. The mode is or appears to be TEM 00 with no weird burns. The mod is better than my original whistle. It was not coherent at a distance, and the beam only increased in diameter by a few feet. It was very noticeable, straight out of mirror number 2. However, this tube is top notch. So far, so good. The question is durability. The original was still usable after 3 years of moderate use, but I didn't want to wait for the failure, especially since tubes are not that expensive. If this has issues in the future I'll update the review but so far so good. Let's hope it stays.
