I bought the 10ft and 20ft sets. I noticed that all the nuts tightening around the cable on the connectors need to be tightened a bit. I pinned them without thinking twice until I used the 10ft cords. You had no output voltage at the inverter. I did some troubleshooting and found that the piece of metal inserted into the plastic connectors was not fully seated and not making contact. I removed the nut and found that the weathersleeve was misaligned and the piece of metal was not fully seated. I fixed it and the cables worked fine. That being said, I like 8 AWG wire since I need to run it 30 feet from the inverter. I used to try to minimize the length of the DC cable to the inverter. This kept the line inverter installed under the solar panels. After two inverters failed I figured it might be the environment so I took them to a nearby barn. I did this today so I don't know if this will fix the line inverter issue. Hopefully! I also hope that the 8 AWG wire doesn't have much loss.
