Lid won’t stay on? Fine if you don’t need the lid

I tried 10 of these, filled them and tried to put the lid on, three times around the rim should be enough, right? Nope, it kept popping open. I made sure I only had one lid, because they were difficult to separate, and even then, the lid continues to pop off. Sorry, I need something more simple to use and trust.
