Review on ๐Ÿ‘ถ Angelcare Baby Monitor AC315 with 4.3โ€ Touch Control Display and Wired Breathing Sensor Pad by Jacqueline Mclaurin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice, but there are a few problems.

3/25/17You have received a response from Tech Support and cannot connect more than one monitor to the cameras. Update 3/23/17 Very serious issues with pairing and maintaining more than one monitor paired with cameras. It seems that when one monitor is connected, the other monitor gets disconnected. The monitors also stop responding and have to be switched off and on again. Very frustrating. We want to have one monitor on top and one on the bottom. I'm starting to think you can't connect more than one monitor to the system. I've followed the instructions exactly 10 times and no luck. I'm waiting for an answer from support. When you call he says he can't take the call right now so I had to fill out an online form. We have an AC310 and this review is essentially the same as my review for it but with the addition of a motion sensor. We added a second camera to the system and we've seen some notable things since then. At the end of my review you will find a quick overview of the 4 different brands of baby monitors we have and the pros and cons of each. Using Multiple Cameras ----------------------- Switching between cameras 1,2,3,4 on the monitor is a bit troublesome. This is a multi-step process that can be a little annoying, especially in the middle of the night. To switch cameras, press OK, swipe down three times until you reach the camera icon, OK again, then down again until you reach the camera you want to select. The monitor allows you to view up to 4 different cameras on the same screen, but the images are obviously much smaller. It is very easy to connect and add more cameras. Feedback function ------------- ---------To activate the feedback function, just click on the microphone icon on the left side of the screen. Here's what I've noticed: 1) This feature often doesn't work and seems to depend on signal strength. We have one unit upstairs in the room for a 3 year old and one on the 1st level for a child. When we are on the same floor as the camera, the signal strength seems normal and the talkback function works. However, if we are on another floor, the signal icon will show a weak signal and the talkback function will NOT activate. 2) I'm not sure if the talkback feature should work when multiple cameras are displayed at the same time. We couldn't get it to work in multi-view mode. Touchpad -------------- This seems to work as advertised. There is a sensitivity setting that you will need to adjust to ensure it is dialed in correctly. If the sensitivity threshold is too high, as we had initially, the sensor may not work. Problems I want to solve ------------- ----1. You need a separate button to switch between cameras. It should be as simple as clicking a button, but instead it's a multi-step process that's likely to annoy you if you do it a lot. Camera and touchpad are connected with a detachable cable. However, if you're using both the pad and the camera, it's nice that if you ever want to stop using the pad, you'll have to deal with wrapping the "y" part of the cable used to power the pads is used. I would like to make them as a detachable part, just provide a separate cable, or just do the wireless option. We have a 3 year old and a 7 month old baby to take care of so we've invested heavily. with monitors. Of the 4 different ones we own, we again recommend Angelcare and Infant Optics DXR-5. LeFun and Hello Baby are not very viable options. The reasons I recommend Angelcare and DXR-5 are the same: they just work - night vision works well, which is very important to us, good signal throughout the multi-storey house, multiple cameras can be added. Below is a brief description of the Angelcare Baby Video Monitor and three others that we own. See also pictures. Angelcare 4.3" Touchscreen Baby Video Monitor (AC310) - No major issues yet, it works, night vision is excellent. Warm or too cold color warnings Shows signal strength Good big screen Cons ----- No lullaby function Menu is rich of features but a bit difficult to navigate at first Camera power cable is a bit short No dedicated button to switch between cameras and it stays in place works well It doesn't look super high tech and doesn't have a lot of options The bottom line is that it works - -- Loses signal from time to time and then emits a loud beep No Temperature Monitor No Feedback Ability No Lulaby LeFun Wireless Camera WiFi Baby Monitor IP Camera HD 720P Security Camera Nanny Cam Video Recording with Pan Tilt Remote Motion Detection Two -Way audio and night vision - It's not really a baby monitor so I'm not sure why it's being sold that way hey, this is a remote camera. Pros ----- High resolution image. You can view the camera from anywhere via web or iOS app. You can pan the camera, which is very cool. Cons ----- Very bad sound quality must use phone or computer. Hello Baby Wireless baby monitor with HB24 digital camera, night vision temperature monitoring and two-way feedback system, white color - do not buy again, night vision does not work. Pros ----- Good day vision Lullaby function Sound is ok Temperature monitoring Cons ----- Night vision basically doesn't work (it broke the deal, wouldn't buy it again)
