My daughter was so upset when she tried on a pair last year that were too big for her and she kept trying to squeeze her toes into them. then I went to Amazon to find something quick! I found this! They're not too heavy but definitely keep them warm! She's a solid babe and they're not tight on her so I love that! She has room to grow until the end of winter and into the next spring. We really like the two whole jams we bought. We are very pleased. We bought 5T as she wears 4T. After we washed them, they fit perfectly. She is 40 inches tall and weighs 36-39 pounds. hope this is helpful
