Buyer Warning. best makeup remover

I bought this when the stores were closed so I couldn't get it at the Clinique counter. It came in a typical clinique and looks like a regular box, but it's definitely not the same. It's more like waterproof mascara - doesn't even come off with makeup remover. He tore my eyelashes. I recently bought another tube from the clinic counter to compare, thinking I might be crazy. nope I think it might be a scam.
