Review on πŸŽ’ Waterproof Olive Casual Daypacks: Exped Cloudburst Backpacks by Kevin Staniszewski

Not waterproof! Ideal for spraying

I used this paddleboard bag to keep things dry thinking it was waterproof. I really liked it until the other day it fell off my board and everything in it was soaked to the skin! I had 4+ rolls on top (there were a few in the bag) and it held some air but the fabric got wet all over. I literally poured out about a liter of water that he kept inside. Of course it fell off my board and I paddled for another minute before noticing the resistance but it was advertised as waterproof and should have been fine. My phone was (thank goodness) in a real dry bag inside the expedition, and it was still bone dry inside, even though it was floating in the pool during the expedition. Initially I really liked this bag but now that I know it's not waterproof I don't really trust it and it kind of defeats the purpose of the bag. Luckily I bought mine at an Amazon sale for $20 so it might still find use as a packable holdall. If all you want is a splash guard then that should be fine, but it's by no means waterproof.

Pros
  • EASY TO CARRY - U-shaped closed cell EVA foam back panel protects you from small items you may be lugging around and also promotes ergonomic load transfer; Perforated shoulder straps provide ventilation when you're hot, while a detachable, adjustable hip belt balances the load; The maximum recommended load is 11 lbs.
Cons
  • Hard to say
