This small clothes box is exactly what I wanted to do with small oil paintings in the city and in nature. I also use it at home to make small paintings. I used 6" x 8" panels and had no problems holding the panel, rocking etc. It's very light and fits perfectly in my bag. I think I'll have to buy a 6" x 8" wet plate holder now as it doesn't protect the finished painting. The box also includes 8" x 10" platters. Although it holds the canvas I think it holds the panels more securely.
