I have taken steps to avoid plastic bags and I highly recommend these silicone bags.1. Keeps your food fresher for much longer! I love cilantro but for some reason it spoils 3-4 days after purchase. I put it in one of those containers and it took a little over a week and was still taking, I was just about done at that point. I also like to store half onions here. My red onion lasted 2 weeks before I had to use it. No mold, nothing.2. Simple technique. All you have to do is put on and take off the plastic connector. It's not that hard if you do it right, and it doesn't require much strength.3. Easy to cleanSilicone material does not stick to it, so it is very easy to wash.4. Something eco-friendly. Not sure if silicone is any better than plastic in the long run, but it's reusable, which is the good part, so it saves you money and the planet on that part. The top is one piece of plastic, so I'm not sure how "environmentally friendly" that is either. The important part is that it's reusable and works better than plastic bags.
