My big family loves potatoes. Puree, baked, steamed, boiled, fried or in other recipes. I buy a lot of potatoes in bulk. I don't always have time to use them before they germinate or deteriorate. I was looking for a good potato storage product. These little potato storage containers are great. Each can hold about 4 pounds of potatoes. That depends on the size of the potato. I bought 3. They are cheap and strong. They keep potatoes in the dark. They have holes for air circulation. The 2-piece lid snaps into place. You can lift the front panel to get the potatoes you need. The top cover is removable so you can load or unload containers. When the potatoes start to sprout, I separate them and put this container on top. I will use them first. I lost a few potatoes but not many. I wash each basket after using the last potato. I do this with the idea that nothing from the last batch will contaminate the new batch.
