You have welded a 3/Ear mount onto the wrong side of the wiring harness. to keep the braid from snapping into the retainer for a clean look. If the braid had been two centimeters longer/or a shifted eyelet had been welded in at the right place. It would fit perfectly. I don't think the Chinese understood that the ears are shifted in the body of the device.
