I had a hard time deciding on an LED strip. They all look the same and to be honest I doubted the accuracy of some of the reviews. I dared this topic and was lucky. The light strip itself is of decent quality and for the most part installation was fairly quick and easy. I had an issue connecting my light bar to my iPhone app, but the problem was that I misunderstood the instructions. I emailed the seller who responded within a few hours with a solution and I got it working with no problems. If you receive this light bar and have trouble connecting it to your wifi, I will share my experience. When you first open the app on your phone, the LED broadcasts its own WiFi, which you need to connect to, and then syncs to your home WiFi (I hope that makes sense). When I tried this I entered the Wi-Fi password incorrectly and it failed. After that, I couldn't find the WiFi signal LED on my phone. The instructions that came with the lightstrip say to turn the strip on and off a few times to "reset" it. I thought it meant turning on and off with the remote control, but it needs to be turned on and off (4 times) via the power adapter (either a plug in the wall or a plug between the power cord and the wifi controller). As soon as I did that, it restarted and I was able to sync it with no issues. You don't need to sync it with the phone app - you can use the included remote to control most functions, but the phone app is better. You have much better control over the color gradients as well as the temperature of the light itself. You also get access to special functions (synchronization with music etc.) here. In summary, I can't speak to the many other light bars on Revain, but I'm very happy with this one and will likely buy another one. soon to the other side of the room. And as the name suggests, I think it's about as good as my Hue LED strip. If I could just control it through my Hue app, that would be perfect.
