I gave it four stars for 'ease of assembly', 'durability' and 'light weight' but three stars overall. The reason for deducting a star is that the stand is mainly intended for women's shoes or men's shoes, which are quite small. I wear size 14 shoes and while the length of this size can be slightly greater than the depth of each shelf of the stand (12 inches), this does not cause any issues. Leave room for two pairs of tall men's shoes. The width fits one pair of women's shoes and one pair of large men's shoes (but being single, cross-dressing is not my responsibility). The bleachers were pretty bright. I just had to figure out the best way to connect the ends of each piece to the final end piece and once that was done the rest was easy. Overall the construction is very light but very strong, so if you don't plan on moving or handling it all the time, it shouldn't be a problem to continue using it. The material of the shelf is a durable fiber material. It's strong enough to hold shoes.
