I got the short-sleeved maroon dress in size 14. I am 5'6" and 165 lbs, and the 14 is slim fitting without being tight. If I had gone with my normal 12, it would have been a bodycon dress if it had fit at all (the zipper makes it more difficult to fudge on sizes, but there is some stretch). It shows every curve but still gives me room to move and be comfortable. It hits below the knee on me, too (see photo). My husband took one look and said "CLASSY." I agree. This dress is made of substantial fabric, not the t-shirt lightweight fabric so many dresses are made of. It has a little give without being stretchy like jersey. In fact, I pulled it on over my head without unzipping. In short, I love it. Totally blown away by the fit and the quality. And the color - the maroon is a true dark, rich red - classic maroon. Buy this dress with confidence!Follow-up: I wore it to work in the office yesterday and turned heads. It was so comfortable for all-day wear! And the perfect weight for a pleasant fall day in Phoenix.
