I'm learning mandala/dot painting and that's why I got this set. I love templates to mark up your projects and have used each of them multiple times. Other designs are fine, but there are very few actual mandalas here, most of which are just drawings that you might see on ceramic tiles or something. Some simply repeat motifs like Christmas trees. Being new to dot painting I agree, patterns are most useful to me. then stencils. They are small, there are four parts on one sheet, which can be broken off individually. The set suits me for the price. As I get better I think I would prefer more real mandala designs.
