I bought 2. One for my grandson's birthday and one for me. I read reviews of various similar ones and thought: ok, I'll try. I'm impressed how it works. Even my 16 year old son was impressed with the quality of the enlarged image. The magnifying glass is a bit flimsy in its frame, so small hands under 5 years old should not touch it without adult supervision. (Just so it doesn't get thrown out of the frame, otherwise there's no danger to a small child). I plan to use it too when we go on our family hike. Should be good for all my grandkids and maybe some adults to calm down before bed. It's not good for well-lit areas, but I want my son to build a shelter. Perhaps by covering it with a lid it would be dark enough to be seen during the day. (Let's see if it works) This product is definitely worth buying for anyone older than 5 years old. It will be an amazing gift to give or even receive yourself. The price is definitely a good buy and you won't be disappointed
