The ENTIRE goal of the USB-C specification was to create a connector that orientation doesn't matter. So this cable doesn't connect the conductors properly and only works in one direction, except that it's physically symmetrical and you can't tell which is which. I started it twice because it looks well done and works in one orientation. . I'm amazed at the reviews that mention you need to orient it properly, but that seems fine.
