I like the idea of this article. I use it in my 18 wheeler so it gets used a lot. 10-12 hours a day by phone (V30). On the plus side, this model's neck really doesn't move much. It will wobble a little, but that's to be expected when driving on the road. What worries me is that when it's in the cup holder and you tighten it, it won't let you tighten very hard before it loosens again, and you have to re-tighten and stop tightening before it loosens (I hope that makes sense). It's almost as if, say, you're tightening a screw and it suddenly breaks off, only then you can tighten it again. I understand why they do this to protect the mechanism from over tightening. They should simply improve the quality of the parts and allow for as much tightening as needed to keep them in place. The trick I found is to expand and pinch the base outside of the cup holder. This worked better for me than huffing when it was actually in the cup holder.
