I'm honestly amazed at how cool this headset is. Sure, it's "virtual" surround sound, but it's actually fully immersive. Excellent quality high, mid and low frequencies. I tried different game genres, shooter, driving, action-adventure, horror and sports. They all sound the same as in the game or work through a high-quality 7.1 surround sound system. In terms of portability, very comfortable and lightweight, wore it for 8 to 10 hours with no weight or discomfort issues. The cable is strong and flexible, and the PC adapter is very convenient. Switching from gaming to music/video chat is flawless, with no noticeable difference as is the case with some headsets. Music sounds like games with mids, highs and lows. It's like wearing a pair of 7.1 surround speakers. A detachable microphone is a good option and doesn't affect the recording quality as it's detachable like most headsets. Plus, the pivoting (DJ-style) headset is great for taking a break without feeling 'suffocated'. Overall this is an amazing headset that any gamer will love, this headset is worth every penny. I've heard headphones that cost around $200-$300 and this one is just as good. They also sound great for studio recording.
