After I got a dry verdigris bite while trimming a hedge, I couldn't get in without protection lol. These rugged shoes did it. They are easy to adjust and put on, and the shoe vent closes the top of the foot. They twist as others have said, but that's easily fixed with a thick rubber band on the instep.
