I was looking for a functional laptop backpack that would be both everyday work wear, great for travel and more of a "woman in the city" than an "adventure pack". The atmosphere. I ordered 6 different packs to try. First impression of the classic large Travelon anti-theft backpack: Appealing style. Looks stylish. The inner material is amazing: soft and great color. Has enough structure to be useful but not rigid. Excellent zippers and zips. Very functional side pockets. Used the backpack as hand luggage on a week trip: excellent organizational properties. The package holds more than I expected. True to its claims, this backpack is designed with security in mind, including cut-resistant straps. For me, this meant that when fully loaded and weighted, the shoulder straps became uncomfortable (due to their contour or lack of contour) and the small carry loop on the top was ALSO uncomfortable when I had to carry the bag in one hand. However, this is not a crucial factor. Used as a daily work bag: love the style, love the overall size for everyday use. I constantly need to carry chargers for laptops, phones, etc. and there is no clear place to put such things out of the way. A few bags were starting to annoy me a little. I just don't want to think so much about what's happening every day! :) But still not a deciding factor. One of the other bags I ordered to try out was the Lo & Sons Hannover backpack. I fell in love with it instantly, like the perfect everyday bag. Meanwhile, my son (16) was watching the Travelon as his former giant school backpack fell apart. SO. Travelon has found a place in our house as an everyday bag (it's very suitable for that) but I'm pretty sure I'll be using it for travel again. I don't know what it means when a backpack is stylistically acceptable for both a 16 year old boy and his mother, but GO GOOD! :)
