Review on DROK Waterproof Digital Voltmeter Voltage by Mike Rice

I needed a voltmeter for my 6 volt farm tractor. While on a tractor this voltmeter will be exposed to rain so I needed a voltmeter that was waterproof. Based on testing with a multimeter the tractor doesn't start at 5.3 volts and with the charger on it reads around 8.5 volts so the range I'm trying to read is quite small and the analog meter doesn't have enough resolution. Also, I had to remove the power supply from the 6V battery. The specs say this voltmeter works up to 3 volts so it was perfect. This voltmeter is designed for panel mounting. When a hole is cut in the panel, it simply snaps into place. The display is bright, but will still be washed out in direct, bright sunlight. Note that if the polarity is reversed, there is no display. Also, there is only about 6 inches of wire with the voltmeter. So plan for a terminal block or add cables. DROK seems to be very useful. There was no diagram or information on how big the hole in the plate should be. I sent an inquiry to DROC and they responded immediately. Hole size 45.5mm x 26.5mm. I haven't installed this in a very long time, so I can't answer the longevity of the unit. Overall, I am delighted with this voltmeter.
