I use this with a Canon 5D III. It works exactly as advertised and I've used it for many hours without changing the battery. It's also a very reasonable price compared to other solutions. I used to use the free Canon EOS Utility. The problem is that you have to lug your laptop around and are limited by the laptop's battery life. This timer is much simpler. Cons: The interface takes a bit of learning, but it's ok once you get used to it. I probably still couldn't use all the features without going back to the manual. To really impress me, the device needs one more feature. Imagine I want to take a series of 30-second shots of the night sky one after the other. Whatever the case, you should allow at least a second between shots. A "shoot as fast as possibleโ mode would be much better. That 1 second gap could easily be less than 0.2 seconds and possibly much less. One use case: I set the camera close enough to the owl's roost, the timer fired once a minute and it was gone. I got great shots of an owl that would never have appeared if I was standing there.
