Replaced thermostat and radiator on 2014 Silverado with 5.3 liter engine. GM has a TSB for an original equipment thermostat that runs too often and cracks the radiator. My thermostat was clearly lazy and didn't reach full operating temperature during the cold Illinois winter. Replacing the thermostat was very easy and fixed the problem straight away. The truck now heats up quickly to 210* as shown on the dashboard and heats up the cab MUCH faster.
