I first saw this toy at a playdate. I thought it was really cool and my 1 year old daughter would love it. After a few months of use I would say this product is just ok. I think it's a great concept, but I'm not overly impressed. HOW IT WORKS? Basically you place 6 colorful balls in the cotton zone (yellow mesh mat under the green plastic element). The popping zone can be activated by touching the popping zone or by rolling the orange-green reel in front of it. The popping zone throws balls in the air like on a trampoline (while making noises and playing music). The bullets mostly stay in the ejection zone until they exit the hole and fly out of the dinosaur's head. From time to time the balls fly out of the cotton zone and roll onto the floor. WHAT I DO NOT LIKE. There is nothing particularly wrong with my product. It seems sturdy and well made. I usually have a pretty high tolerance for musical toys, but this one is just getting on my nerves. In addition to the power button, there are two volume settings. Even the lowest volume setting is still loud in my opinion. Also, music and the noises it makes annoy me. Even if the music doesn't bother you, the biggest downside is how quickly the balls leave the cotton zone and roll out of the dinosaur's mouth. This isn't the kind of toy you can sit a one-year-old on for 10 minutes to do something (under supervision, of course). The entire popping and exiting of the ball usually occurs within 30 seconds. That means you have to collect all orbs and return them often. From time to time my daughter puts other items in the popping area and she seems to enjoy it. To be honest, I sometimes stick a larger object in the exit hole to keep the balls in the ejection zone. My daughter loves this toy enough but doesn't love it. That way she doesn't spend much time playing with him. Also, she is not inclined to find and put back the balls. Maybe she wants to do that in the future. FURTHER CONSIDERATIONS. We never use the dinosaur story to roll the balloons into the popping area and my daughter often pulls out the orange part of the spacer and puts it in the popping area, but that doesn't really bother me. Also, the eggs are big enough that I don't have to worry about my 1 year old swallowing them. Overall, I think this toy is a good idea, but I wasn't convinced. It can just be a matter of personal preference. It is possible that your child will like it. My daughter and I just love this toy.
